Charles Kenney is an author whose work has been translated into six languages and has received favorable reviews in publications ranging from the New York Times to the Jerusalem Post. His nonfiction work includes JOHN F. KENNEDY: The Presidential Portfolio (PublicAffairs), RIDING THE RUNAWAY HORSE: The Rise and Decline of Wang Laboratories (Little Brown), DUKAKIS: An American Odyssey (with Robert L. Turner) (Houghton Mifflin), and KEEP THE FAITH with James E. Muller M.D. (Rodale). He is also the author of three novels: HAMMURABI’S CODE (Simon & Schuster), THE SON OF JOHN DEVLIN (Ballantine) and THE LAST MAN (Ballantine). In addition to his work as an author, Charles Kenney is an experienced journalist. For sixteen years he worked as a reporter and editor at the Boston Globe, where he held a variety of positions including that of Political Editor. While at the Globe, he spent four years as host of a weekly, one-hour live interview program ("Boston Common’’) on the CBS television affiliate in Boston which focused on topics ranging from politics to business. For the past ten years Charles Kenney has also worked as a consultant on communications strategy for companies in various fields including investment services, banking, the law, health care and real estate development. He has worked with companies seeking more effective communications to a variety of audiences including clients, prospects, employees, shareholders, analysts, public officials, and the press. His clients have included leaders in their fields including State Street Corporation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, FleetBoston Financial and Bank of America. He specializes in creating and implementing communications strategies in complex and challenging environments.
